Chill @ The Bridge: Youth Café - Fridays 19:00-21:00 (Term time only)
The youth café was launched in Sept 2008 and runs every Friday night during term time. The café is open from 19:00 till 20:30 for teenagers to enjoy a variety of games and activities and have a safe place to socialise together. At 20:30 we remain open for a further 30 minutes for those who want to be part of the discussion time, where we tackle some of the big questions and issues of life, within which the leaders will bring a Christian perspective.
The aim is for the young people who come along to feel safe and valued for who they are, whilst having lots of fun. We have a wide selection of computer based games (playstation, Wii, X-Box) along with pool, table tennis and table football and various board games. There is a small entrance charge of £1 for which they get free use of all the activities, a bar of chocolate and are able to enjoy whatever food we are cooking that night (burgers, hot chocolate and doughnuts, pizzas etc).
As leaders of the youth café, we are committed to helping the young people toward reaching their full potential in life; something that we believe as Christians can only be achieved through knowing and trusting in Jesus Christ.
